  2. Hey Rasheed,

Great work on this task, your art looks super cool. It's been really interesting to see the different ways people are interpreting the style. I like how you've gone for line black lines and big blocky squares of colour, very interesting and unique to the ones I've seen so far.

For my Graphics class in High school we had to make designs in the De Stijl style so I chuckled when I recognized it this week.

    Good work Rasheed,
See you later in the comments,

    Daniel

Thank you for the compliments, I appreciate you coming here again. I also think the art is cool. When I was choosing a task I chose this one because i haven't seen this type of art before. It was different and unique. That's what caused it to pique my interest.

I know that I did really great on this task, and thank you for pointing out the black lines. I did that so people could the separation between the shapes.

Also, What is a graphics class in High School like? I've done on before. It sounds interesting.

It’s Renee from the Summer Learning Journey Team, here. Ka pai for your work on this fantastic blog post and creating your own Mondrian inspired artwork. I really like your use of colour, in particular how you choose to incorporate fluro-green into your piece that is really eye-catching.

I found it really interesting watching the videos and learning about Mondrian’s life. He must have been a very brave man to start painting in a way that was so different from how the other artists were creating during his lifetime.

Did you enjoy this activity? Which SLJ activities have been your favourite so far?

Ngā mihi nui and keep up the awesome blogging!
